The Kashi Atlanta Yogathon is our annual fundraising event featuring a very special two-hour Maha Yoga Class with live music by the Kashi Kirtan Wallahs and teachings by our spiritual director Swami Jaya Devi.
The Yogathon provides important support for our Service Programs including Ma's Street Meals, Kashi KidsArt, Kashi Care Team and Kashi Community Yoga!
All fundraising yogis and donors of $108 or more are invited to this special Maha Yoga Class. We will also be offering incentives and special recognitions for fundraisers, including mats, malas and murtis for fundraising levels from $250 to $2,500.
Each day we work to build a more compassionate community. Ma's Street Meals serves more than 15,000 meals each year to the poor and homeless. Kashi KidsArt, Kashi Care Team and our successful Jail Yoga program exist to nurture people under duress and assure them that their community cares for them.
Our programs also exist for the volunteers, whose hearts are opened and whose lives are changed every week as they serve those in need in our community. This work is complimented and supported by our ongoing weekly yoga classes, our 200 and 500 hour yoga teacher training programs, a full schedule of yoga workshops, our offerings for bodily and spiritual healing, including our seasonal Ayurvedic cleanses, the Ten Day Yoga Detox, massage therapy, Reiki, and postural alignment sessions.
Your donations go directly to the services and community programs that we organize and host, and they go a long way!
With our Street Meals Program we help to alleviate hunger for the homeless population in Atlanta, serving more than 15,000 meals each year! Street Meals is supported by a dedicated corps of volunteers who are committed to seva - selfless service – as an extension of their yoga practice. We reach hospitalized children through our Art Projects for kids — all supplies are donated or purchased with donated funds. The Kashi Care Team provides assistance and loving compassion to the catastrophically ill, including those living with, AIDS/HIV, cancer, and/or other illnesses. Care Team members visit Care Team recipients at their home, run errands for them, prepare, deliver and serve meals to them and their family, and provide whatever support they can, including at times spending the night.
Your generous support makes all this possible. Thank you for being a part of the work that happens here. You are very much appreciated.
